Ministry of Education, Govt. of India has established an ‘Innovation cell’ with a purpose of systematically fostering the culture of Innovation in all Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) across the country.

Institutional Innovation Council- Xavier institute of engineering
Xavier institute of Enginneeing is a registered institute of MOE with a vision to carry out various events related to innovations, Entrepreneurship and ideathons.
IIC XIE also focuses on creating platform which will seeds the culture of Innovation across the institution from ideas generation to pre-incubation, incubation and graduating from the incubator as successful start-ups. Also providing an encouragement to organize and participate in Various activities related to different cells under IIC.
1) To create a ground level innovation ecosystem for XIE students
2) Establishing Functional atmosphere for welcoming Ideas on designing, patents and innovations
3) Opportunity to nurture and prototype new ideas.
4) Develop skills amongst young entrepreneurs to come up and cultivate ideas on innovations and research
1) To organize seminars, workshops on Entrepreneurship prescribed by MoE from time bound basis
2) To arrange a forum or platform to discuss or exchange ideas on IPRs and design patents in coordination with various startup policy holders under government or private sectors.
3) To organize events, talks, guidance seminars for startups or new small incubations related activities. To carry out healthy discussions with business leaders, investors or incubators and professionals.
4) To Identify and reward innovations and share success stories.
